Dans les plis du paysage
Seven jugglers seize the balls, which seem to open possibilities to be realised and unknowns ripe for invention. A search for the individual amid trajectories and momenta, in the folds of the landscape...
The conclusion of a d’un triptych that began with Pan-Pot ou modérément chantant about the material of juggling, Dans les plis du paysage explores relationships as a research object. Appearances, vanishings, shifts/lags, repetitions and fragmentations are the motifs that make up a score of gestures, just like one constructs a piece of landscape, music or dance; or like one divides up space and time. Between two trajectories, a singular relationship is born, and a delicate fabric appears – “in the folds of the landscape”.
The collective is expanded here to seven jugglers, accompanied by a musician on drums. They play artfully with their number, like as many possibilities to be invented.
Plasson, Fabien
Born in 1977, Fabien Plasson is a video director specialized in the field of performing arts (dance , music, etc).
During his studies at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon (joined in 1995) Fabien discovered video art. He was trained by various video artists (Joel Bartoloméo Pascal Nottoli , Eric Duyckaerts , etc).
He first experimented with the creation of installations and cinematic objects.
From 2001 to 2011, he was in charge of Ginger & Fred video Bar’s programming at La Maison de la Danse in Lyon. He discovered the choreographic field and the importance of this medium in the dissemination, mediation and pedagogical approach to dance alongside Charles Picq, who was a brilliant video director and the director of the video department at that time.
Today, Fabien Plasson is the video director at La Maison de la Danse and in charge of the video section of Numeridanse.tv, an online international video library, and continues his creative activities, making videos of concerts, performances and also creating video sets for live performances.

Collectif Petit Travers
Artistic direction : Nicolas Mathis et Julien Clément
Creation : 2003
Collectif Petit Travers was founded in 2003. Since 2011, artistic directories have been jointly promoted by Nicolas Mathis and Julien Clément. The activity of Collectif Petit Travers is mainly centered on the creation and distribution of large-format juggling pieces and the resulting pedagogical transmission, but included until 2012 also more marginally the creation of dance / performance pieces. They are very open to other artistic forms, and many collaborations have enriched their work: Jérôme Thomas for circus arts, Pierre Jodlowski and Sébastien Daucé for music, Maguy Marin and Joseph Nadj for dance. This curiosity nourishes their artistic language with new kinds of expressiveness.

Meeting with literature
Collaboration between a choreographer and a writer can lead to the emergence of a large number of combinations. If sometimes the choreographer creates his dance around the work of an author, the writer can also choose dance as the subject of his text.
