Moon Looking Dog

MOON-LOOKING DOG / 1999

Artistic direction Hong Sungyop

“Moon-Looking Dog”, a title full of originality for a choreography full of humour. This work, based on improvisation, seeks to capture the fundamental movement of “Ki” (lifeforce). On the stage, a mirror, a reflection of what is within. Above the mirror, a clock, symbolising the wish of everyone to seek the centre of themselves. An introspective quest where the dancers discover their interior existence in order to become more aware of their bodies and the space that surrounds them.

Meeting with literature

Collaboration between a choreographer and a writer can lead to the emergence of a large number of combinations. If sometimes the choreographer creates his dance around the work of an author, the writer can also choose dance as the subject of his text.
