Sons of Sissy
If you had to sum up this piece with one a word, it would be humour. The kind of humour, which, by being so astute, gives a radical effi- ciency to the ideas proposed by the dancersof this quartet. Traditional music plays, probably drawn from the folk music of Simon Mayer’s native Austria. Bodies free them- selves of all conventions, making way fora reinterpretation of traditions in which the choreographer redistributes roles and breaks with established models of masculinity.
