In The Middle
Openness and cross-breeding are the conception of this family of strong and independent women. Very far from the exclusive “backwards cap” label, the Swaggers are shaking up the cultural world to offer new and alternative hip hop. We find numerous inspirations in them, the fruit of various individual collaborations with the greatest contemporary choreographers such as Angelin Preliocai, Blanca Li and Sylvain Groud. Marion Motin was able to create a real group synergy: the opposite of uniformity is diversity which prevails. Her atypical writing reveals artistic styles and personalities. Swaggers thrives on its individualities.
Motin, Marion
Marion Motin's work is based on instinctive movement, the spontaneity of movement, what the body wants to say in the moment. It relies on vital energy and uses chi to initiate movement. The ultimate technique for her is knowledge of the body, the energies that pass through it. Knowing how to listen to the emotions that are going through him as well. The goal is to be so involved and embodied that each movement is a nugget.
Dancer and choreographer, Marion Motin founded her collective Swaggers in 2009 and created In The Middle, which has been on tour since 2014. She dances for Sylvain Groud then Angelin Preljocaj. In 2012 she flew around the world with Madonna for the MDNA tour. She choreographs for Stromae and Christine and the queens, but also for the musical Résiste by France Gall. She collaborates with the artists Cécile Cassel, Chilla, Angèle, Catherine Ringer. She is also called upon in the world of fashion and cinema. Marion Motin's choreographic research is essentially based on instinctive natural corporeality and immediate and necessary movement. Passionate about scenography, she imagines her shows like films and works with light almost as much as movements.

Meeting with literature
Collaboration between a choreographer and a writer can lead to the emergence of a large number of combinations. If sometimes the choreographer creates his dance around the work of an author, the writer can also choose dance as the subject of his text.
