CHUT

Fanny de Chaillé uses different reliefs and choreographs vertigo and imbalance in her new piece, CHUT. Inspired by romantic images and the great figures of burlesque and drawing on the famous work by the German painter Caspar David Friedrich, Wanderer above the Sea of Fog, this new opus questions human fragility. Part of a visual installation by the artist and set designer Nadia Lauro, CHUT also challenges the illusion of theatre in the name of total fidelity to the real and a taste for the literal in things.

Meeting with literature

Collaboration between a choreographer and a writer can lead to the emergence of a large number of combinations. If sometimes the choreographer creates his dance around the work of an author, the writer can also choose dance as the subject of his text.
