Unsichtbarst

The stage, small, a square of five by five meters, all in aluminum, is reminiscent of a reflecting wave.
The decor is sober, if not non-existent. No pretense, the main thing is elsewhere, in the way of staging and moving the subject. At the beginning, Anna Huber enters wearing felt slippers. She slides on the floor, looks at herself in a mirror and begins a gesture that will never stop.
From her opus, Anna Huber likes to say that space, light, movement, music are inseparable.
"The multiple ways of being and contradictions of humans are presented from different points of view. Whether in extreme zones, in empty spaces or in opposite situations, I can find inspiration endlessly The body is both instrument and subject of research. Open questions and paradoxes represent the motivation of my work.

Huber, Anna

Combining dance and the visual arts, Anna Huber has produced twenty-five creations since 1993: solos, group pieces,  interdisciplinary projects and sitespecific works. She has received many  awards, notably the Prix de Chorégraphie et Danse Suisse in 2010, the  prestigious Hans-Reinhard Ring in 2002 and the award of the Mary Wigman  Society.

Unsichtbarst, or exposing oneself to become invisible. On a reflective square, surrounded by the public, Huber sways and links  extremes. Both real and an artefact, it emerges straight from the  imagination. She plays on the visibility of disappearance and we can’t  take our eyes off her. The performance was presented at Grand Studio on 16 and 17 April 2019.

Picq, Charles

Author, filmmaker and video artist Charles Picq (1952-2012) entered working life in the 70s through theatre and photography. A- fter resuming his studies (Maîtrise de Linguistique - Lyon ii, Maîtrise des sciences et Techniques de la Communication - grenoble iii), he then focused on video, first in the field of fine arts at the espace Lyonnais d'art Contemporain (ELAC) and with the group « Frigo », and then in dance.

He worked in the creative field with installations and on-stage video, as well as in television with recorded shows, entertainment and documentaries.

His work with Dominique Bagouet (80-90) was a unique encounter. He documents his creativity, assisting with Le Crawl de Lucien and co-directing with his films Tant Mieux, Tant Mieux and 10 anges. in the 90s he became director of video development for the Maison de la Danse and worked, with the support of guy Darmet and his team, in the growing space of theatre video through several initiatives:
       - He founded a video library of dance films with free public access. This was a first for France. Continuing the video documentation of theatre performances, he organised their management and storage.
       - He promoted the creation of a video-bar and projection room, both dedicated to welcoming school pupils.
       - He started «présentations de saisons» in pictures.
       - He oversaw the DVD publication of Le tour du monde en 80 danses, a pocket video library produced by the Maison de la Danse for the educational sector.

       - He launched the series “scènes d'écran” for television and online. He undertook the video library's digital conversion and created Numeridanse.
