Captive
Captive is a cloistered performance that takes place in the lair of a monster, Shamaël, a demon who has swallowed up the world. Out of boredom, he brings one of his victims, a woman, back to life: Lilith, his prey. Between the two of them is Kiki, a bicycle, the alter ego of Lilith. Shamaël reigns supreme in a world of agony and destruction. Brought back to life, Lilith and Kiki began to haunt his dreams.
“When faced with horror, we search for insolence, the carefree nature of life and movement. These two characters, who seem completely contradictory, become alive through each other. When do vice and corruption begin to settle in – and what about play, tenderness, and a need for the other? It is a space for games and caprice. At its heart are Shamaël and Lilith, two opposing conditions. How do the mortal and the immortal rub shoulders with one another? Can we grasp this relationship, feel it, give it a body?”

Chatelain, Camille
Camille Chatelain is a graduate of the CNAC, where she completed her training in bicycle acrobatics after finishing at Châtellerault (ENCC circus school) and the ENACR.
At the CNAC she worked most notably with Bruno Dizien (a choreographer), Mikael Serre (a director) and Julie Béres (a director), with whom she developed her artistic identity. In 2013 she went on tour with Pulsions, a show by the 24th year group organised by Laurent Laffargue, before creating her own company, L'Indécente.
Very attracted by theatre and dramatisation, she developed an artistic world where the bicycle and its vocabulary serve to reinforce the overall intention and meaning. Though her bicycle is a piece of apparatus, it also becomes a game partner, an extension, an entity in its own right.
Also a musician and singer, in 2012 along with three other musicians she created All Mice, a group at the crossroads between jazz and pop. She therefore aims to make a name for herself as a versatile, curious, committed and creative artist.
