A hunting, playing and musical instrument, the boomerang has crossed spaces and our imaginations since the dawn of time. Just as violence, immemorial, is inscribed in our humanity and inhabits the present of our lives. This tangible violence that grows a little more each day, invites itself to our side, intrudes between us. A violence that is expressed in acts or words, but also in the very secrets of our system where words such as growth, flexibility and productivity lead to logics of destructive aggressiveness. However, just as red can stand both for flowing blood and a beating heart, violence is not only destructive: it can also be a force. That of anger and rage, a force that allows the excelling of self, the audacity of going against the system, the impetus of group gatherings, the assertion of a “no”, again and again, faced with the frenzy of our times. Variation on the same theme but from different viewpoints, Boomerang reveals this energy that inhabits us, whether we like it or not. Spurred on by the taste for challenge and a game, Bouba Landrille Tchouda “throws” eight dancers onto the stage and mobilises the energy and sensuality of the bodies, in a manner that varies between sharp, poetic and playful. He seeks to make these moving forces communicate, while also shedding light on some of our fragilities and contradictions, on the capacity of people to be both monsters and do great things: to put into dance situations of power and submission, re-invent war games, compose redeeming illusions. Lives, Violences. These two words sound from the same starting point. These two words resound: they depend on what we do with them.

As with many hip-hop dancers, his learning begins in a self-taught way. In 1995, he decided to found the company Aca in Saint-Martin-d'Hères, with Habib Adel, dancer of the same generation. Their first creation, presented in 1996 as part of the Rencontres Danse Ville Danse in Paris, allows them to become a reference company in hip hop dance in the Rhône-Alpes region.

Influenced by urban and world culture, this artist enjoys many kinds of dance, including hip hop, capoeira and contemporary dance. For him, every genre of dance is a new world to tackle, to move in, to sweat in, to turn upside down, to help everyone find their humanity, to question the meaning of their future, their desires.
Like many hip-hop dancers, he was initially self-taught, but gradually began to explore other disciplines like capoeira and contemporary dance.
In 1995, he decided to found the dance company ACA in Saint-Martin-d'Hères, with one of his contemporaries, Habib Adel. Their first creation, presented in 1996 as part of the Rencontres Danse Ville Danse (Danse Ville Danse Encounters) in Paris, made their name as the urban dance company to be reckoned with in the Rhône-Alpes region.     
It was during this time that Bouba met the choreographer Jean-Claude Gallotta, director of the CCN in Grenoble (National Choreography Centre). This meeting resulted in a duet called SMH. Choreographed by Jean-Claude Gallotta, this duet forms an integral part of the piece La rue (“The street”), presented by the Emile Dubois group in January 1997 at Suresnes.

His national and international tours – with Aca and Accrorap – have allowed Bouba to establish his reputation as a choreographer both in France and abroad.
In 2001, with Eric Mézino, he founded the Malka Company whose first show was Paroles de sable, paroles de vent (“Words of sand, words of wind”).

Born in 1977, Fabien Plasson is a video director specialized in the field of performing arts (dance , music, etc).

During his studies at the Ecole Nationale des Beaux-Arts de Lyon (joined in 1995) Fabien discovered video art. He was trained by various video artists (Joel Bartoloméo Pascal Nottoli , Eric Duyckaerts , etc).
He first experimented with the creation of installations and cinematic objects.

From 2001 to 2011, he was in charge of Ginger & Fred video Bar’s programming at La Maison de la Danse in Lyon. He discovered the choreographic field and the importance of this medium in the dissemination, mediation and pedagogical approach to dance alongside Charles Picq, who was a brilliant video director and the director of the video department at that time.

Today, Fabien Plasson is the video director at La Maison de la Danse and in charge of the video section of Numeridanse.tv, an online international  video library, and continues his creative activities, making videos of concerts, performances and also creating video sets for live performances.

These interviews and images of rehearsal on the stage allow the spectators to approach the show from another angle: that of its creation, the different processes through which the creators pass, springboards or brakes that they encounter on their way.
