Le reveil
A woman wakes up. An everyday thing to do, yet it is far from bland.
Calsina-Forrellad, Anna
Anna Calsina Forrellad is a young 29-year-old dancer and choreographer who settled in Brussels in 2009. After graduating from the Barcelona Drama School where she studied contemporary dance, Anna Calsina began to work directly for the big names. In 2009, she entered into a long-standing partnership with Lisi Estaras, Les Ballets C de la B and danced in a number of creations, including more recently “Monkey Mind”. In 2011, she started to dabble in the circus world and participated in the creation “Les Fuyantes” by Les Choses de Rien company and “La Machine à jouer” by Camille Boitel. In 2012, she was the interpreter for James Thierré’s “Tabac Rouge”. She began her career as a choreographer in 2010 with “Ikvot”, a piece by Rogelio Rivel Circus. Her love for creation was confirmed in 2014 when she entered into choreographic research in sand in the company of Sabina Scarlat. Her interest for the mixing of disciplines has often led her to propose dance outside the usual contexts by surrounding herself with multi-disciplinary artists. In particular, she creates short films with Murielle Félix. In 2016, she co-founded Objectif Pluton, a composite collective combining musicians and dancers with Quentin Manfroy (flutist) and Benoit Armange (dancer and circus artist).
