Cabinet des figures

Two, almost identical, naked, dismembered, disarticulated and fragmented bodies are unveiled little by little in an illuminated space. Here, the playing field is framed in the cinematographic sense of the word and places the spotlight on a segmented, marginal dance.

The “Cabinet des figures” questions the modes of existence of the body that dances across the stage. This creation showcases the modus operandi for transforming the body and its possible perceptions and, as such, attempts to apply a choreographic catalogue of postures where the “performing” body reflects upon the various ways of appearing on the stage. What stratagems should be used to articulate what the body radiates and the way those on the outside apprehend it?

Meeting with literature

Collaboration between a choreographer and a writer can lead to the emergence of a large number of combinations. If sometimes the choreographer creates his dance around the work of an author, the writer can also choose dance as the subject of his text.
